Travian: Kingdoms – when a RIMACK is better than the original
10 years for a computer game – an unconditional “quality mark”. The first Travian appeared in 2004, that is, approximately simultaneously with World of Warcraft, Lineage 2, Eve Online, and a similar path of evolution from version T1 has passed.0 to T4.4. Only the Russian segment of the game has about 100,000 users.
All these years, the mechanics of the game developed, but the design remained almost unchanged: a beginner may be surprised why the game is aesthetically noticeably inferior to numerous casual MMOs for social networks. And the arguments that Travian appeared long before the “funny farms” and the “rules of war” is unlikely to be convinced. The developers listened to the opinion of the players and announced the release of an independent game called Travian: Kingdoms with a fundamentally new graphics and improved gameplay. Now she goes through the stage of open beta testing, and this is a great reason for beginners to get acquainted with the game, and to veterans to shake the old people.
Both the original Travian and Travian: Kingdoms are a casual browser MMO strategia with unobtrusive Freemiam Content. The action takes place in Europe at the junction of antiquity and the Middle Ages. The player receives the hero and the first village on the global map in his control. Its task is to rationally using the replenished four resources to rebuild the village and collect an army sufficient to start expansion to neighboring territories. Over time, new settlements can be founded, expanding the sphere of influence.
The player’s success is evaluated using ratings, but in Virgin Games Casino Travian: Kingdoms one in the field is not a warrior. The game has always focused on the team interaction and confrontation of large clans called “alliances” here. To defeat in the round, which lasts many months, the Alliance must build a miracle of light and prompting it to the 100th level. This requires the accumulation of huge resources.
Travian: Kingdoms reveals the meaning of its name in the first minute of the game. The developers realistically conveyed the medieval vassal device and at the same time facilitated the task of new players who are in T4.4 often suffered after removing a temporary PVP protection. Now at the start is a choice-to play the king or try on the role of the governor, who obeys the Corol player and performs tasks within the kingdom. Thus, a newcomer can fully familiarize himself with the game, study its mechanics and make the first mistakes in gentle mode, and only then to establish their own kingdom.
The game takes place on maps of three slices. In the village, the player builds and improves buildings, conducts research and hires the army. On a map of resources – equips the territories adjacent to the village to receive more funds for the construction of the village and provide for the army. And on the global map there is a war of the kingdoms: the struggle against robbers, the seizure of oases (this gives bonuses to the growth of resources), the robbery of neighboring villages and the creation of their own. The hero adds another line to the gameplay: it can be pumped and equipped, sent to quests-adventures or simply strengthen the army.
Artists did a chic work, completely redrawing the schedule. All important elements in the usual places are recognizable, but outwardly the game has become more solid, logical and modern. For example, buildings change the form depending on the chosen nation and the level of the structure – not only beautiful, but also clearly. Attacking units look more aggressive than defensive, and the faces of the heroes seemed to have matured.
Introduction that explains the foundations of Travian: Kingdoms is much less prolonged than in T4.4. This is the merit of a modern and intuitive interface. The player is free to develop independently, but the four NPCs in the village offer tasks for which the rewards noticeable at the start are laid.
As before, the game can be completely free. This is a great art for developers-to introduce such a scheme for a Freemium content in order not to give dishonest advantages, but at the same time allow those who wish to make life easier for money. Infinite gold, if desired, can be obtained without Donat, selling the obtained items at the auction. You can’t buy anything supernatural for real money – in fact, gold helps only to pump faster.
On Travian: Kingdoms you can spend a few minutes a day and enjoy leisurely development. And you can go into the game with your head – thanks to the rating system, this is a completely competitive type of e -sports. On the original Travian, the European Championship was held, but most likely Kingdoms will be able to surpass T4.4. Finally, a mobile client of a new game will be released soon.
As a result, we can confidently say: “It got better!”. Some players will again tell that the grass was more green before, but Kingdoms can be recommended to everyone who loves strategies and browser entertainment.
